DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
An experienced Project Manager II with curriculum development experience is needed to assist our efforts in revising the Parenting and Paternity Awareness (p.a.p.a.) curriculum based on findings from the multi-year evaluation report conducted by the University of Texas LBJ School. The results of the evaluation indicate revisions to the curriculum are necessary for the following to occur:
to improve its overall effectiveness;
to increase fidelity to the instructional process; and
to effectively deliver curriculum content to eighth grade students.
The Project Manager II is needed to oversee the content revision of the p.a.p.a. curriculum which will include; developing new curriculum content, taking existing curriculum session and developing alternative activities for a younger audience, identifying and reducing redundancies in the current curriculum, developing new content that can be converted to web-based activities, and revising content to account for recent Texas law changes and to enhance student learning. These services are highly detailed and specific to maintaining the fidelity of the p.a.p.a. curriculum and under strict approval/guidance of the OAG.
TASKS:
Design, plan, and lead the p.a.p.a. curriculum revision team.
Coordinate and lead curriculum content review and development meetings with OAG and LBJ School evaluation team staff.
Establish the curriculum revision organization, timetable, and tasks; assigns tasks and responsibilities to team members, and tracks and reports on curriculum progress to OAG project staff and executive leadership.
Identify curriculum strengths and weaknesses and develop revised and additional content to include:
Additional financial literacy components
Updated legal content based on current legislation
Identification of content redundancies and eliminating as appropriate.
Develop a project schedule in coordination with OAG project staff and executive leadership to ensure curriculum revisions are completed within the business plan timetable.
Identify and coordinate development of modified curriculum activities developmentally appropriate for 8th grade students
Develop static curriculum content for adaptation into digital format and coordinate adaptation of static content with technical team members.

Designs and creates a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and curriculums describing the legal rights of parenting, promoting responsible parenting, describing the process of establishing paternity and describing child support for a wide range of audiences.

Professional experience in developing curriculums to effectively increase knowledge and attitudes of secondary student regarding the legal rights and responsibilities of unmarried parents, the process of establishing paternity and the benefits and role of Child Support.

Professional experience in educating students on the legal right and responsibilities of parenting as outlined in Texas Family Code, through the p.a.p.a. curriculum, and as a function of the Texas Child Support Division.

Professional experience in modifying or drafting new curriculum content based on suggestions of the evaluation in order to increase knowledge and attitudes of middle and high school students.
